Steve Boyer is the CEO at BluePenguin Payments. A recognized visionary and payments innovator, Steve was one of the inventors of the original electronic gift card and co-founded ValueLink, which was acquired by First Data and still serves as the “industrial grade” prepaid platform for their largest clients. Prior to co-founding BluePenguin, Steve was the EVP of business development at Galileo Processing, one of the world’s foremost prepaid card service providers. He has also held executive positions at HOPS International and eFunds and holds a degree in marketing from Western Illinois University.

Ryan Tripp

Ryan Tripp is a seasoned finance executive with deep expertise in financial strategy, corporate governance and M&A. Ryan has an extensive background in private equity, debt issuance and corporate finance, with a track record of optimizing capital structures and executing strategic transactions. As the CFO of BluePenguin Payments, he oversees financial planning, capital allocation and operational efficiency to drive sustainable growth, but before joining the company, he served as the CFO of LTX Solutions and Terra Worldwide Logistics.

Jake heads product, operations and strategy for BluePenguin Payments. His 30-year international payments career includes card brand, eCommerce, loyalty, omnichannel and data product leadership positions at Mastercard, First Data, Netgiro (now Digital River,) CyberSource (now Visa) and Vantiv (now Global Payments.) Most recently, Jake led corporate payments strategy for commercial prepaid programs at Xerox Card Services, now Conduent Business Services. He is the co-inventor of 15 patents in transaction processing, intelligent routing, secure commerce, localization, currency conversion and other financial solutions. Jake holds honors degrees in foreign languages and engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

Adam McDaniel

Adam McDaniel is an experienced entrepreneur, investor and supply chain professional with a strong finance and business management background. He founded Twenty-Two Enterprises (TTE) and has successfully closed four transactions, sold two businesses and been a part of seven other transactions. He currently serves as the president of BluePenguin Payments and leads the company’s corporate development initiatives. Prior to his current role, Adam held senior positions at Redwood Logistics and founded LTX Solutions. Adam started his career as a professional baseball player and graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with cum laude honors in finance and business management.

Paul heads IT operations and architecture, security and PCI compliance activities for BluePenguin Payments. Before joining BluePenguin, he was CISO for NetCentriX. Paul brings over 45 years of broad experience in software development and security, including security roles at NASA, other Federal agencies, IBM and several startups. He was a pioneer and innovator in intrusion prevention systems (IPS) and holds several patents. Paul graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with honors in information and computer science.

Patrick McKay

Patrick leads sales and business development for BluePenguin. He has 30 years of experience in global payments, B2B card issuing, transaction processing, SaaS, technology sales and revenue growth. He has worked with many financial services firms, including MBNA, Bank of America, Citi, FNBO, Mastercard and Deloitte Consulting. An entrepreneurial leader, Patrick has designed, built and led sales in enterprise account management teams across the U.S., Europe and Latin America.
